2013 is almost here!

Hello Bloggies!

I haven't been blogging in quite some time and I have missed everyone so much in my absence.  In my absence though, I've still had the viewers every day, so thanks to all that keep me in mind.  My profile jumped like 6,000 views since my last post.

Anyways, I wanted to recap this year and give a sneak peak of my new years resolutions.  Here we go.....

I'll start with Brynnie being a 3 month old.  Here she is taking a bath in Jan. 2012.  She now loves baths so much that she throws a fit when the water starts going down the drain.

Here are some photos I took of her at 3 months old at the beginning of the year.  I love peacock colors, so I went with that look when I photographed her in Jan. 2012.
Not much happened over the spring, I focused on my weight loss and lost 34lbs in 2012!!!

Here is a spring photo of Brynnie Boo.  Man, has she grown up so much since the beginning of the year.  This dress was made by my mother and I.

I photographed my first wedding in the spring of 2012.

Shawn was in the wedding.  Look how handsome he can be in a suit...  :)

In September, we had Brynn's first Birthday.  It was Diva-themed.

Look how beautiful my lil' princess is in that photo.  Shortly after her Birthday, we had to give her a SECOND haircut.  I often cut my own hair and I have cut my own hair since I was 15 years old, so cutting Brynn's hair was a piece of cake.  I cut her hair in a bob cut.

I had my first High school reunion that I attended.  It was pretty lame.  No one had really changed from 2002 and it will probably be the last one I attend.  I did have a good time taking goofy photos with one of my best friends from High school.

A week after my reunion, I got promoted at work.....  Why couldn't it have came just a week sooner?  Just like every person on this Earth, I kind of wanted to brag about my new opportunity.  I'm not quite sure it was the right decision for me, but I'm dealing at the moment.  I got pretty beat up the last few weeks before I went on vacation this year.  Let's just say that I am putting in a solid year of it, then I am going to search for a company that treats it's employees a little better than where I currently am at in the education field.

With all the stress and extra hours at work, I gained 10 of my 34lbs back.  :(

At least I get to come home to this face!  This was Thanksgiving 2012.

Taking a jump back a few weeks, I went as Alice from Alice and Wonderland for Halloween.  If you are not a long time reader, then you probably don't know that Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite stories.

Lastly, I made it past made it through my first quarter as a functional director of our school.  Thankfully, I took an 11 day vacation after the quarter ended.

While on leave I took some beautiful photos of Brynn.  I did absolutely nothing after that other than attend family Christmas parties.

I am more than excited for the New Year.  I've had a pretty great vacation snuggling my baby Brynn, but I am ready to get back to weight loss and routine.  It's difficult with my job, but I have to try to make it work.

Since this is a long post, I will have my New Year's resolutions for tomorrow.  To be continued....

XOXO,

Skinny Gal Somewhere.

Mixed Emotions

I've considered surrendering my blog.  I know it's going to be difficult to post daily and even every other day with my new position.  Though, I would miss some beautiful relationships I have built with some of my ladies on here.  I feel like every day I miss in blogging, I become less missed in the community.

Ultimately, I will get back on the weight loss band wagon and I will be interesting again.  I mean I look back and think about what I have already accomplished since I had my daughter.  I lost 32 lbs last year after having Brynn and this year I have lost 40 lbs.  I still have 60 lbs to go....  I just needed a break from it for a while.  I hate to make a commitment that I couldn't keep, so I think on Monday I will start working out again, but no programs that I feel I have to be dedicated to while I get used to my new job.

The great thing about this position is that it keeps me so busy throughout the day that I eat way less!  I used to eat a lot of chocolate from our director's candy bowl and NOW I have my very own bowl where he provides me all the candy I want and I don't even think about it.  It sits right in front of me and I am not even the slightest bit tempted.

So, my first week as boss lady wasn't too terrible.  I feel like I have a lot of support from all my coworkers.  I did run into some issues over vacation request, but I got a quick handle on those at the beginning of the week.  I think my boss is pretty impressed and a little ashamed that he didn't promote me sooner.  I was promoted into a role that has been open for 6 months.  I applied when it first came available, but he didn't want to consider me at the time.

Since Monday I am down 6 lovely pounds.  It makes me incredibly happy seeing that I don't have much time to work out.  Here's hoping for another week next week like this one!

I hope everyone had a good week and I'm sorry to be missing in action this week.  I hope to post more next week.

Friday Favorites

The topic: Friday Favorites

I don't have a video up yet, but I wanted to get something in for today.

What's your name?
Stephanie

What's your favorite fast food meal?
Oh, fast food...  AKA "The Devil".  I'd say my favorite fast food has to be something Mexican related.  I like Moe's and Qudoba quite a bit.  For those who live in larger cities, it's like a Subway for burritos.  YUM!  Chicken queso burrito, right up!

What was your favorite music video on TRL?
I was a teen through the boy band era, so I'd have to say "Everybody" by the Back Street Boys.  I would get up and do the dance they do at the end, sing along, and I loved the dress up parts of all the halloween-esk outfits.

If your house caught fire, what is the one favorite material object you would take out with you?
I'd say my albums of pictures.  Pictures are memories and you can't get those back!

What is your favorite workout?
TurboFire!  It's kickboxing and dance and it's the ONLY workout program I have ever been able to stick to every week.

What is your favorite food in your pantry?
At this exact moment???  I'd proabably say there isn't anything, because I haven't been to the store in quite some time.  Usually, I go for chocolate.  Nothing particular in mind really.  I get bored easily with the same foods, so I usually try to change it up.

What is your favorite gift you have ever received?
My gift from God!  My little dumpling daughter-Brynnie.  She is my everything and the only person I need in life.

Girl Talk Tuesday: How I Met My Wife (Part 2)

I had just gotten out of a 2 year relationship with a slut  girl who couldn't keep her legs closed.  I suspected that she probably cheated on me the entire 2 years we dated.  I would often catch her with naked photos on her phone, that I KNOW she wasn't sending me, so why else would she have naked photos of herself on her phone?  It was like she was starting her own bus route and giving every guy a ride.

Then there's also the fact that she left me for another guy who was twice my size in weight.  She said she was always attracted to a "Burley-type guy", and this guy was no Paul Bunyun.  He was just a plain-fat.  I like to keep my stomach in my jeans and not spilling out the tops of them.  Put it this way, there's no way this guy could see his own trouser snake, I have no idea how he even reached it to take a piss.

I was out at a local concert with a buddy of mine and afterwards decided to text an old friend to see if she had wanted to go karaoke singing with me.  She said she had to work, but that they had karaoke there, so I decided to check it out.  She said she was at the Brickhouse.

So, here I am going into my first gay bar...  Not that I would have a problem with it, but I know I'd have a look of "fresh meat" on my face.  It's kind of like that drunk person that everyone has seen or been before.  The individual who knows they're so drunk that they can't walk straight, but yet they're trying everything they can to not show how drunk they really are, even though they still have a "wobble" to them.....  In my mind they were probably all thinking "Look at this awkward straight white guy walking into the gay bar".

I just get there and I have one beer.  The upstairs was dead, because the drag show had just ended.  All of a sudden this girl sits down beside me with this BLUE dress (It was black, I didn't own a blue dress at the time, but he swears it was blue...  God love him...-SGS).  She instantly, starts talking to me about the Yankees since I had a Yankees screensaver on my phone and then she wanted to add me to Facebook.

All I could think of is, "Who is this weird girl?"  I was taken back, because she was so outspoken and women usually just don't dive in head first with conversation.  It was obvious that she was NOT shy.

So, the bartender and myself go downstairs after all of this and hit up some karaoke.  All of a sudden Stephanie walks back in and tells us her story about Bob and how inappropriate he had been.  My description of Bob would be one of those idiot-young 20 year olds that think they are hot shit and that they can say and do whatever they want with women.

Over time this beautiful girl wore into me and I let my guard down.  I was apprehensive at first, because I had just gotten out of a relationship and felt like women were the devil.  In the end, I was just dating the wrong type of women.  I realized this when I met Steph.  She's driven, responsible, and committed to us.

I love her!

The Boob Tube

Ok, so I know I promised Shawn's version of our love story, but it's like getting a cat in heat to stop raising it's rear to get him to sit down and finish it with me.  I'll probably feature it next Tuesday for "Girl Talk Tuesdays".

On blogs earlier this week, everyone featured their FAV waste of timers T.V. shows.  I wanted to share mine.  Keep in mind I live in another place of mind where fairies and unicorns live.

Speaking of unicorns, has everyone seen Charlie the Unicorn???  If not, you have to watch this pointless-- waste of 3 mins.  The first week my hubs and I were together he showed me this stupid video and at first I thought it was SO stupid, but Charlie grew on me and now I quote all 5 videos every time unicorns are brought up.  AND...  CANDY MOUNTAIN!!!

I will show my fav shows in order of my favorite ones to ones that are just.....  MEW....

The only show that I will stop everything for is.....  The Walking Dead.  Even if you do not like Zombies, it is such a great show that has a great build of characters and drama.

Shows I watch religiously:
  1. The Walking Dead
  2. Once Upon a Time-One of my newest luvies.  I enjoy watching all the fairy tales in a different version.
  3. True Blood-This one intrigues me at times, other times it's pretty stupid.  The last season was pretty decent.  I mainly like watching all the hotties on the show running around half naked....  Eric=panties dropper.
  4. HUNG-Who doesn't love a story about a guy that's hung like a horse???
  5. Game of Thrones-Awesome drama!
  6. Glee-Reminds me of karaoke in a sense.  It also has a good story to it.  I'd love to live in a world where I could just break into song-- out of no where.  lol
  7. New Girl-BEST COMEDY ON T.V. PERIOD!
  8. Vampire Diaries- Ian Somerhalder  (GUSH), do I need to say more?  I still think he would be the best Christian Grey for fifty Shades.  BOY IS FINNNNNNEEEE!  Who doesn't love a bad boy?

Shows that I watch, but I don't HAVE to watch:

  1. The Voice
  2. Revolution-I just started this one and I'm wondering how much longer I will continue to do so....
  3. Bachelor, Bachelorette, Bachelor Pad-I enjoy watching these idiots make a complete mess of their dignity on this show.  There's obviously a reason they are all single and desperate!
  4. Up All Night-This show falls short for me.  I find myself on my laptop more than I actually pay attention to it.
  5. NFL football-Anyone else a Giants or Colts fan?
  6. Face off
  7. Lost Girl
  8. Being Human
  9. Girls-Slightly reminds me of Sex in the City at a younger age.
Shows I miss:
  1. Lost-Yep.  I am a lost junkie.  Again, Ian Somerhalder had me at "I'm Boone" during the first season and I couldn't stop watching.
  2. Sex and the City-It's the ONLY complete series I have on DVD
  3. Heroes-I have no idea why they pulled this one...  Anyone know???
  4. Friends
Shows that I can't wait to watch this year:
  1. American Horror Story-- With the hubs holding my hand.  lol
It's obvious I am a HUGE potato butt!  Actually, before DVR, I never watched T.V.,,, like AT ALL.  I DVR everything and usually catch up when I have absolutely nothing else to do with me precious time.  I guess I fit in with the nerds, because if you see the theme here, I am a huge Sci-fi junkie.

HUMP DAY!

Get your hump on ladies....  Was that too much?  LOL

Anyways, just wanted to drop in and say part 2 of my lovely luuvvvv story will probably be up tomorrow.  I got home late last night after work and baby B. was already passed out and I felt obligated to go to bed.

Things are going well at work!  I am through the first interview for this promotion and I have two more to go, hopefully this week.  It's a waiting game from here.

The Shred is not going well.  With this promotion ordeal going on, I have had a hard time finding time to work out.  I KNOW it's only 20 minutes and I shouldn't have any excuses, but when it comes down to it, with the nerves/stress I have going on right now, I'd rather spend my time snuggling my sweet child than working out.  I'll get there again, but now is just not a good time.

I've noticed that many of you are getting into these "Button" ordeals for the blogs to where you can click them and it will take you to that particular person's page.  Does anyone want to tell me how to accomplish this?  I'd like a cute little button that you can click other than the one in my lady parts

Oops....  I did it again.  Sorry guys, I never claimed to be modest and I just assume that if it offends anyone, then they have a choice whether they really want to continue reading my blog or not.

Which brings me to my next point.  If you are a long time reader, you have probably noticed that I have gone from being conservative to saying what I actually want.  How I type my blogs now is really how I talk in real life.  I am be pretty inappropriate at times, I try to find humor in everything I do, and I like to surround myself with individuals who live on the "lighter side" of life.

Why be so serious all the time?  Right?

Let loose ladies, be yourself--It really is liberating!

Girl Talk Tuesday

How I met my Hubs...  And how he fell....  Sort of. (Part 1)

My first ever themed day, I'd like to discuss the topic of how we all met our significant others.

Shawn and I's story is actually quite amusing considering WHERE we met.

So, once upon a time.....

The hubs and I met at a GAY bar.  I'm shitting you not!  You really can find love surrounded by rainbows and fairies.

I was at a point in my life where I had given up on love.
Newly divorced.
On a sexual rampage.
With absolutely no care in the world for my actions.

I enjoyed my time out with my gay boys and I spent the weekends watching the drags of the Ville diva it up on the stage.  I wasn't welcomed there, most of the lesbos called me, "that straight white girl" and so I just sat in the corner with my friend Kenton and drank myself into a stupor.

A guy (let's call him Bob for story telling purposes) that I had no intentions on ever dating decided to show up at the bar and try to molest me.  I was wearing a black dress and he thought it would be fun to try to put his hands up it.  I started freaking out, so I told one of the girl's that worked there (the bartender), who happened to be straight as well, what Bob was doing.  She had invited her friend out too (my future husband).

So, she tells me to sit down and entertain Shawn while she gave the inappropriate gentleman, Bob, a "talkin' to".  She talks to Bob for a good 15 minutes, which allows me to jabber the huz's ears off.  I'm a chatty Kathy, I can't help it.....

I was able to add him as a friend on Facebook, so we could at least be "friends", since I felt like he was into bartender.

Finally, I go back to Bob and he is ready to go home.  I walk him out to his car and he precedes to pull me into his truck to talk, then he decides to show me his one eyed pirate.  ARRRR....  He kept trying to get me to look at it, which I would not.

I guess seeing the size would want to make me jump on it or something???  I am glad it's worked for you in the past dude, but it's not welcomed with me.  Schmuck.

I'm finally able to get out of the car and he follows me down the rode and yelling for me to get back in his truck.  It was like something you have seen in the movies.

What. A. Weirdo.  It was the last time I talked to him.

I came back into the bar, scared to death from what I just witnessed, and Shawn was now downstairs and singing karaoke.  I ran up to him and bartender and told them what had happened with Bob.  Freak.

Shawn sang one song that I can remember, and it was Michael Bubble's "Feelin' Good".
Was I attracted to my husband before I heard him sing?????  Yes.
Does the singng add to his overall appearance???  Absolutely!  It's a panties dropper.

I make it home that night and pass out with my puggle- Lilly-Lou.

The next day I was supposed to meet up with an old friend of mine who was trying to hook me up with his brother.  I had caught Shawn on Facebook the next morning and asked him how his night went with bartender.  He said it went well and that she was a "cool chick".  He said he was going somewhere that evening for karaoke that I had never heard of before.  Right as I was about to give him my cellphone number, my computer crashed with a virus and I could not get back on Facebook.

So, I went out with my old friend who I realized was very lame and his brother was super lame.  I really wanted to know where to find Shawn's karaoke bar.  So, I asked my lame friend if I could use his phone, since I had a basic phone without Internet.  I logged into my FB account and sent him my number.

He texts me shortly after.  I was thrilled to get away from those lame morons.  I get to this whole in the wall bar he is at and we sing, slow dance, and spend the evening together until 4am.  It was sparks.  We were inseparable ever since that night.

Over two years together, marriage, and a baby, we both lived happily ever after.  The end.  Now, that is my sugar coated love story.  Stayed tuned for his version of the story tomorrow.

LADIES-How did you met your hubby????  I wanna hear about it!

XO-Skinny Gal.....  Somewhere.

My 10 Year Reunion

My 10 year reunion......  Was........  LAME SAUCE.

It wasn't a horrible time, because I was with one of my gal pals that I have been friends with since high school.  She lives in Texas now, so I don't get to see her very often.

The pretty girls from high school are still pretty, still snobby, still materialistic, still.....  Them

I thought people changed after high school???

I asked one of the popular guys what he was doing now after high school and he followed up with, "I'm a lawyer."   STICK FOOT IN MOUTH......  Note to self:  Do not ask anyone else what they are doing now.

We did have a good time taking silly photos.  I don't have all the photos, most of them are on Ashley's camera, so here's what I do have:

Heerow, my name is SGS.  I'm an aspiring MILF.

Here's the outfit.....  I had to give two different poses to really show it off.

The girls and I.

I wasn't one of the most popular girls in high school, I'd say I was on middle ground.  I played high school soccer, I made good grades (I think I was ranked 76/450ish GPA wise), and I really just kept to myself and always had a steady boyfriend.
This was right after graduation my senior year.  I think I have came a long way and I finally feel grown up.

AND ONE LAST SCAREY/GOOFY one:

So, this was after quite a few drinks.  I discovered a NEW drink that EVERYONE has to try.  It's whipped cream vodka and sprites.  AH-MAZING!  Any other fab.u.lous drinks my sheltered self should try??

Skinny Gal.... Somewhere.

Tomorrow is going to be my first "themed" day.  How about some "Girl Talk Tuesday" in that house???  Bitches be lovin' it!

The Versatile Blogger Award

I blushed a little when I found I was nominated from Erin at Homemade Happenings.   Check out this sweet, sweet gal's blog.  On another note, I am taking Erin's advice and going comfortable for this evenings reunion.  I decided that this was an event to splurge for, so I went to my favorite store, New York and Company, and bought a $68 outfit for this evening that I think is going to be smokin' hot.  I'm just striving for that Stephalicious look in all honesty.  I'm hot in my own way.  Hey, if Fergie can create her name as Fergalicious, I can too damnit.

So, I know a lot of you voted dress #2 earlier this week, so I wore that outfit yesterday and I wanted to show it off.  This is a dress I bought at Kohls for $10!!!

Dress-Kohls-$10-On clearance NOW, go buy it hookers
Boots-Shoe Carnival-5 yrs old
Belt-New York and Company
Necklace-Body Central

I actually bought the dress for $5, because I purchased the black one too which was $10 and I had a promotional $10 off without a limit purchase from the mail.  Can you tell I am typically a bargain shopper???

OK, here is the big reveal for the hair....  I mean, it's like a red carpet premier in my mind...  lol  Actually, the hubs said he didn't want me to go as dark as the picture from the other day, so I settled in the middle.  I darkened it up for fall so I don't look washed out and I kept the blond.  I had her darken the low light to a dark carmel color which I had her do the entire bottom layer, the underneath portion and low light it throughout.  I had her keep the blond at a platinum color.  I LOVES IT!  I was going for that look where you could tell that I have it colored.  I sometimes get bored with looking natural.  It's really hard to tell the hair in the picture.  I am going to take several pictures tonight and hopefully you will see it better with the off white cardigan I bought.

7 Random Facts Brought to You By:  Skinny Gal.... Somewhere.

  1. I'm pretty sure NO ONE knows this about me.....  I secretly love to dance while getting ready for an event.  I love playing my music loud and being goofy, which is why it takes me so much longer to get ready than for work.
  2. I love karaoke and I love to sing too, though my husband trumps my efforts with his golden voice.  This momma went out on Thursday and I sang mostly duets.  Shawn and I sang "Don't You Want me Baby" by the Human League, a friend and I sang "Hold On" by Wilson Phillips and we even did the Bridesmaid's dance along with it (One of my all time favs), and I sang "Moves like Jagar" by Maroon 5 with the DJ.
  3. I'm very career oriented.  I am currently up for a promotion that would literally double my salary.  I have 3 intense interviews next week.  Fingers crossed people!!  Along the same lines--There is no way on earth I could ever be a stay at home mom!!  I need adult interaction.  Period.
  4. I haven't went on a vacation since I was 18 years old...  That's 11 years people!!!  My mom bitches about not going on a cruise every year, and it makes me want to chuck something at her.  People can be so spoiled!!  I haven't gone on a vacation, because I never have the money and usually my vacation time goes to watching my kiddos.  Before my kiddos it was always work, college, and again - NO money.  I bought my house 4 years ago and it literally sucks the life out of me and my bank account.
  5. I think collectibles are pointless.....  Which is one MAJOR ordeal with my hubs.  He collects everything-Hot Wheels, Star Wars EVERYTHING, Tron EVERYTHING, toys, old timey bottles, etc, etc etc.-----POINTLESS and that shit takes up too much space!!!  It disgusts me really.  I even hate buying toys for my girls.  It's just extra junk laying around that is trashing up my house.  Brynn usually plays with her toys, so I am ok with hers.  Sam does not, which is why I hate buying them for her.  She has SO many toys that she takes them all for granted.  That is a story for another day though.....
  6. I am not a punctual person.  At work it's hit and miss whether I am on time.  Sometimes I am on time and other days I am anywhere from 1-5 mins late.  For everything else......  Always late.
  7. I am so terrified of snakes, that I can't watch them on T.V., see them in zoo exhibits, play with the little snake toys in the stores, etc.  I have a MAJOR phobia with snakes.  Every time I see one, I get chills and have to close my eyes.
Here are the ladies that I am tagging that haven't been tagged (I don't think):

Back to the Bizzzz....

I officially feel "flabby" again even though I have only gained back like 3 pounds and a few inches, but I haven't worked out in about 2 months due to being ridiculously busy and sickness....

I have several workout DVD's and books.  One of my hobbies is reading diet fad books just to see what the "big secret" is to them and what they recommend as to how to lose weight.  I saw one of my Biggest Loser books and decided to take a peak at it since my workout routine is going to be around the famous Ms. Jillian.

One of my major problems is my diet.  I realized over the past 2 months I have fallen back into bad habits...  Chocolate everyday at work, Diet Mt. Dew, alcohol, over eating, etc, etc, etc.  I am a fatty for a reason.

I think my first major downfall was drinking the diet dew.... Studies show that Diet beverages make you feel hungry, and yes, I totally agree!!!  Since I am dedicated to losing this weight, I decided to dropped the dew.....  I'm sorry Dew...  You know I love you, but you gots to go!!

Secondly, absolutely no more chocolate!!!  This should be easy.  Chocolate is just like any other addiction I have ever had.  If I don't think about it, then I can easy to forget about it.  Kind of like all my ex's...  It's like they never existed!!!

Oh alcohol.....  You marvelous little dirty deed...    Luckily, my newest game plan for clean eating by Biggest Loser allows up to 200 calories for "Extras".  That's 2 glasses of wine, 1 1/2 bottles of beers, or 2 shots of distilled liquor.  I think I am going to start drinking wine more often than beer.  I love the taste of beer so much that it is sometimes hard to stop drinking it when I am out with friends.

So here's the pyramid for my food plan:

It's supposed to be all "clean" foods.  Preferably fresh fruits and veggies.  I am trying to avoid frozen and canned foods, but sometimes that is the easiest with children, chores, and my full time job.

I think the hardest part about this diet will be reducing my whole grains to only 2 servings.  I might have to have at least 3 servings.

My goal is to be between 1200-1400 calories everyday.

Yesterday I hit 1408 calories and I felt like I was starving!!  I hate the new change of starting a diet.  When I eat foods that I don't really like, I seem to notice that I am more hungry on those days.  I didn't get to prep my food yesterday.  I worked from 7:30am-12:00pm then I was back from 3:00pm-9pm.  It's our start week and all of my students were starting yesterday, so I had to be here for majority of the time and I spent my break and the grocery.  It seriously felt like the longest day ever.  Not to sound dramatic, but it sucked monkey balls that have been dragged through the dirt!

Today I started the famous 30 Day Shred,  I also have No More Trouble Zones and 6 pack in 6 weeks.    These are all Jillian Michael DVD's.  I am going to try to do the shred every day and if I get time do the other programs I will alternate those.

I spent quite a bit of money on small individualized Tupperware, where the sections are the appropriate serving size for meat, fruits, and veggies.  Here is my lunch for today.  Nothing very special, but the wrap has peppered turkey lunch meat, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, and fat free ranch which is wrapped in a 100 calorie tortilla wrap.  I also have red grapes, carrots, and cauliflowers.

Ok, here we go, here are my accountability photos and measurements (bare with me, this was early this morning and I had not showered and looked a hot mess, but I don't believe in "looking good" to work out in my own home or at the gym):

I measured today and most of my measurements were the same.  I have gained back a few inches in my hips/stomach, I'm sure it's from my badonkadonk....    If you haven't seen my progression photos from this year, then check out the progress I have made so far-here.

Waist: 39"
Calves: 17"
Neck: 12"
Thigh: 24"
Arm: 12"
Chest: 38"
Hips: 43"
Weight: 198 lbs

I am almost half way through my weight loss journey.  I promised myself a 100 lb weight loss.  I have lost 36lbs since Feb. this year.  I have 64lbs left to lose by May 2013.  I hoping that since I took 2 months off, I will hit the ground running and lose quite a bit pretty fast with dedication and hard work.

Wish me luck!

Diva in Training

My little princess turned 1 on Saturday!!!
Happy Birthday Brynn, Mommy loves you SO much!

Overall the entire party was a success.  I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted to, because Mommy was whipped by the time the party had started.  At least B. looked absolutely adorable....  :)

We had a huge cake, but my mother in law made this one too just so she could eat a smaller cake on her own to do the traditional first Birthday cake eating pictures.

I was too freaked out to light the candle.  I am one of those over protected Mothers.  I'm sure she's going to love me when she starts dating someday.

This was taken after she played with her cake for about 30 mins.  She would hardly eat the cake, so I had to help her with that.

I didn't get any pictures of myself since all I wanted to do was sit in a lawn chair and veg, but here's one of the hubs playing corn hole and Brynnie distracting him.

I did get one photo the day before the party.  I had just worked all day and went shopping for 4 hours after.  I was SO tired and looked a hot mess, but I wanted to try the diva's tiara on.

The Battle of the Boot.....

Here's a fun story for ya....

The other day I did a post about "Imma sucka fo...", well I was shopping at shoe carnival last Friday and I noticed that cowboy boots were back in style this year.  I thought, "Finally, I can drag my pairs I bought from Charlotte Russe out from SEVEN years ago when cowboy boots were last in style AND I was finally thin enough to fit into them again in the calves."

So, I wore my brown pair with no problems on Monday.  On Tuesday I wore the black pair...  When I got home to take them off, I could not for the life of me get the damn left boot off my foot.  I pulled for about 5 mins, then I laid on the floor and my hubs pulled for a bit.  Shawn was like, "I bet you won't wear these again."  He honestly hates all boots on women.  I have no idea why, but he says it makes his penis crawl up inside of him.......  Just the thought of that cracks me up and I know that was probably TMI, but hey, I bet you giggled like a school girl who has a crush.

I sat there in the floor, Brynn was crawling all over me since I had just walked in the door, Shawn had given up on me, and my foot was just stuck about half way up the shoe.  I had sweat dripping down my face and neck and I laid there defeated by a cowboy boot.  The random thoughts about how I shouldn't have squeezed my fat leg into this sausage casing started appearing.  I was just about to the point of taking scissors to my old friends when I decided to give tugging on them one last try.

I slipped my foot back into the boot the best I could and started pouring baby powder down into the boot.  I probably used about a quarter of the container.  So, I started pulling it off again and I realized what had happened.  The lining in the boot had torn off from the heal and it had created like a stopper inside the shoe to where I couldn't get the it off.  Praise Jesus!  I had an instant boost of confidence, because it wasn't just about my fat calve anymore!!!!  I justified it that way and claimed the damn boot was just cheap.

After maneuvering and tugging for about 2 more mins, I finally got the cowboy boot off.  Note to self: Always wear socks with cowboy boots from now on!!

End of story, I hope I made you smile on this last day of the work week.

P.S. I'm tired and thankful that it's Friday!!

I have the very sleepy--I can barely hold my eyes open-- pre-coffee pounding-- glossy eye going on this morning.

Saturday is my daughter's FIRST Birthday!!  The big ONE.

We're having it at the house and it's going to be a "Diva in training" themed Birthday.  Originally we were going to go with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, since we watch it every morning together and it's the only show that captures her attention (I hate to say it, but I think she has squirrel syndrome like mommy).  For some reason when I went to Target, they had no Mickey Mouse decorations, so I had to find something different.  I'm too busy and too tired to run around town looking for Mickey Mouse decorations.

I will have many photos to show on Monday of her.

Have a great weekend bloggies!

Imma Sucka Fo....

Today I thought it would be fun to expose all my weaknesses......

Imma Sucka Fo.....

  • Take 5....  There's a joke apparently going around work about how when I hear our director wrestling the bag of candy in his office, I am like fido looking for my Take 5 fix.  Har, Har assholes....  I like that chocolate deliciousness, what can I say??
  • My daughter's big blue eyes.....  Ugh, they kill me all the time....  Actually it's just her....  I love that child!

  • Men who have any cool talent related to music.....  I dated one  douche bag  dude who played guitar for 2 years that cheated on me.  I also dated another guitar player for 5 years who seemed promising back in the day, but ultimately I ditched him for the party life.  He was lame and just wanted to sit at home and either play guitar or Call of Duty.  NOT MY CUP OF TEA.  I'm now married to my hubs who can sing the telephone book and swoon all the ladies.  He's mine bitches, back off!!!!
  • On that note I am also a sucka for my hubs voice.....   SWOON...  And no, we're not together just because I love his voice.  He is talented in other ways as well..... Wink-a-dee-wink....
  • Coffee.....  I have a 1 year old.....  Need I say more????  Coffee = Love.
  • The Walking Dead.....  It's the ONLY televised show I will drop everything for just to watch.  HELLO ZOMBIES!  By the way, do you have your survival plan ready for the end of the world?  If you want to read what a nut case I am for zombies, you can check out a fun read about them here- Rule #1, Cardio

  • When I'm ready to get my "oinky on", Imma sucka fo Mexican food......  When I am dieting, I am extremely cranky, because I eliminate this from my diet as well as Chinese food.
  • Hello Kitty......  While in college, I worked at a tiny bopper store (Gadzooks who was owned by Forever 21), we would get these adorable Hello Kitty lady tees in and a new love was born.  The manager and I would fight over who would get the large in each shirt, since they would only send ONE large t-shirt.  I am obsessed with Hello Kitty now.
  • Alice and Wonderland......  For some reason I love the story.  Don't ask me why.  If you want to buy me a collectible, it better be something in Alice and Wonderland OR Hello Kitty.
  • Target.....  Damn you Target for carrying everything I love.  If I want to spend hours of my time or several dollars in my pocket, I go to Target.  I have NEVER left to this day without going through the check out there.
  •  Diet Mt. Dew.....  Just do the Dew.....  I Do....  lol
  •  Dresses......  There's something about the air free flowing between my legs that.....  Wait-Wait a min, did I just say that out loud?  Hey, I never claimed to be modest.  :)
  • Cowboy boots.......  I was so happy to see that they are back in style this fall, because you better believe they are on my feet today!!!
  • Make up......  Yeah, I spend way too much money at Sephora.  It runs along the same lines with Target.  This is my newest crush I have:

  • Pumpkin ANYTHING.  I love pumpkin breads, spreads, cakes, sundaes, pies, cheesecakes, cookies, etc, etc, etc....   Fun Fact for ya, my huz calls me pumpkin tits.....  lol  I have no idea why???  Ok, maybe it's because I used to have a Size DD brawl.  Since I have lost weight I am down to a C, but he still calls me that and it doesn't bother me at all.
  • Lastly, I am a sucker for Lauren Alaina's "Like My Mother Does" song.  I was pregnant and about to pop when she came out with it and it gets me every time.  I am hoping that Brynn feels the same way about it someday.  :)
Happy Hump Day to the new followers!

Skinny Gal...... Somewhere.
